Ingredients
Servings: 4 servings
For the caramelized onion:
- Medium onion (1, large, thinly sliced)
- Honey (20 g)
- Water (a splash)
- Extra virgin olive oil (2 ml)
- Barbecue sauce (40 ml)
- Salt (1 g)
For the base:
- Greek yogurt (250 g)
- Mayonnaise (60 g)
- Salt (1 g)
- Smoked paprika (to taste)
- Garlic clove (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
Steps
- Slice the onion fairly thin, but not too thin. Put the onion in a pan with the oil and salt and brown over medium-high heat for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
- Once darkened, add the water and honey and keep cooking over medium heat until caramelized.
- Toward the end, stir in the BBQ sauce; once combined, turn off the heat.
- Transfer the onion and all the base ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Notes
- Pairs well with parmesan carrot chips.
