Seitan scallopini with mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 pack seitan
  • 400 g mushrooms
  • flour (as needed)
  • salt (as needed)
  • parsley (as needed)
  • 1/2 glass white wine
  • 1 garlic clove
  • extra-virgin olive oil (as needed)

Method

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms.
  2. Heat a pan with olive oil and the garlic clove cut in half.
  3. Let the oil take on the garlic flavor, then add the mushrooms.
  4. Cook until the mushrooms soften.
  5. Slice the seitan and dust it with flour.
  6. Add the seitan to the pan with the mushrooms.
  7. Season with salt and cook briefly.
  8. Add 1/2 glass of white wine and let the alcohol evaporate.
  9. Finish cooking with a lid on. If needed, add a little water.
  10. Turn off the heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  11. Let rest a few minutes off the heat with the lid on to meld flavors.
  12. Serve hot.
